FW JOBS ACADEMY
HELPING WOMEN GET BACK TO WORK
Giving women confidence, capacity and connections to find, gain and retain employment
Research has shown that at the height of COVID-related lockdowns in 2020, women were more likely to lose their jobs, and more likely to do more unpaid work, than men. In addition, the current workforce participation rate for women is almost 10 per cent lower than it is for men, as reported by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Enter, Jobs Academy - a free, year-long membership designed to support women who are looking for work, more work, or new work.
Future Women has teamed up with Gidget Foundation Australia to invite more women into our unique community in 2022.
Women of any age, from any location and any background, looking to make a career change in the next year, be it a new job, more hours or getting back to work after taking time off to care for your family are invited to submit an Expression of Interst for Jobs Academy.
Jobs Academy will provide connections to real jobs, our proven training programs, small business support and access to our vibrant online community.
Applications for the pilot intake commencing January 2022 are now closed. However, we encourage you to submit your Expression of Interest as we plan on opening further intakes and offering Jobs Academy to even more women in the future.

Once you submit your Expression of Interest, we will acknowledge your submission has been received via email and you will be first to know when the next intake of Jobs Academy opens.
EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST
We have teamed up with Gidget Foundation Australia to invite 140 women into the Future Women community for our first intake of Jobs Academy in 2022.
Applications for the current intake commencing January 2022 are now closed. However, we encourage you to submit your Expression of Interest as we plan on opening further intakes and offering Jobs Academy to even more women in the future. By expressing your interest, you will be the first to know when the next intake opens.
Expressions of interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, women living in rural, regional and remote locations, women from culturally diverse backgrounds and women living with a disability are strongly encouraged.
ABOUT GIDGET FOUNDATION AUSTRALIA
Gidget Foundation Australia is a not-for-profit organisation who supports expectant and new parents experiencing, or at risk of developing, perinatal depression and anxiety. With one in five women experiencing perinatal depression or anxiety, we know this experience can impact confidence, workforce connectedness, career progression and employability. So, we’re piloting a membership to offer targeted support.
With support from the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet's Office for Women, Jobs Academy builds on Future Women’s existing leadership, skills and networking programs to support participants in building confidence, capacity and connections. In short, all the things you need to find, gain and retain secure employment. Whether you’re employed, underemployed, or unemployed and thinking about going back to work - we’ll support you.
