Are you hosting events during COVID-19?

Until it is safe to meet in person again, our regular calendar of Social Club events has turned virtual. FW Live is our series of bi-weekly Facebook Live interviews hosted by Future Women Founder Helen McCabe and Chief Creative Officer Jamila Rizvi.

With FW Live you get to ask the questions, and find out the answers from the comfort of your own home. Members are invited to tune in every Monday and Thursday in the Member-Only Facebook Group and stay connected. Recent guests include Gladys Berejiklian, Dr. Kerryn Phelps, Dr. Kerry Chant, Julia Baird, Brooke Boney and Malcolm Turnbull.

I am living overseas or outside of Sydney and Melbourne, which membership should I choose?

The Red membership is best for you as it gives you full access to Future Women and other member perks (without the cost of events you can’t attend).

What is the FW newsletter and why should I pay for it?

We know you’re busy, so we deliver your membership highlights straight to your inbox, no fuss. It takes a team of talented people to produce our newsletters. Trust us, your inbox won’t know what hit it.

What member perks and discounts does FW membership offer?

Too many businesses promise discounts but they are often disappointing. The brands we have partnered with are ones that we use and like. We’re confident you’ll agree that 20% off brands such as General Assembly, Ettitude and The Blow are great value and go a long way to recovering the value of your membership. Can I find a mentor through my Future Women membership?

We know a successful mentoring relationship depends on a personal connection between the mentor and mentee, so once you join you can attend our pre-Social Club introduction drinks and regular Social Club events. This is the perfect environment for you to find a mentor. In addition, our closed Facebook group advertises mentor/mentee opportunities and the Members Directory is your Rolodex to all members. We encourage you to reach out to anyone you think might be suitable.

Is there a student discount?

Our Red membership is deliberately set at $49 per year and can be paid on a weekly basis to cater for students and anyone on a tight budget. As a team of journalists, we passionately believe in the importance of producing quality content and your membership fees are supporting ambitious female journalism.

Can men become members and attend FW events?

Future Women is a club for people of all genders and we encourage everyone to join and attend events. FW is for men who want to learn, who know when to be silent and simply listen, and who realise that gender equality doesn’t just benefit women but benefits everyone. We welcome the men who want to be part of building a fairer and better world.
