Australia is multicultural, multi-racial and multi-faith, but mainstream storytelling remains slanted to the white gaze – denying culturally diverse voices their rightful share of the platform – and a true representation of Australia’s heritage.

Zimbabwean/Australian advocate, artist, writer, co-founder of Folk Magazine and TEDx speaker Moreblessing Maturure and Diversity Arts Australia Executive Director Lena Nahlous are working hard to change that, as they told Future Women’s Sydney Social Club last week.
